Enclosure on left references North Vietnam's extensive network of underground tunnels and the American and South Vietnamese "tunnel rats" who descended into these narrow quarters to fight. Even darker than the underground tunnels were the rubberized fabric body bags (pictured on right), invented during the Vietnam War for the storage and disposal of corpses.
