Global Mishap was inspired by the colonial exploits of Britain, France, and the United States in the Middle East beginning in WWI and continuing to the present. The 1950’s boy in the process of constructing an oil derrick with vintage Erector Set parts has accidentally knocked over a globe into a school trash can, collateral damage from his play “empire building.”
