This tableau merges historical and contemporary tales of migration. The touchstone is Enrique's Journey, the non-fiction story by Sonia Nazario, of a Central American boy's journey to the United States to find his mother. The altered book The Little Engine That Could, establishes the theme of the train, the principal mode of transportation that Enrique uses. The objects on the tabletop map symbolize the obstacles he encounters on his journey.
